The Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation has presented award of Integrity Icon of Nigeria to the member representing Orumba North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Emeka Aforka, for his excellent performance in office.
The award, which was presented to the legislator in the Anambra State House of Assembly complex Awka, brings to two, the number of lawmakers honoured by the Non-Governmental Organizations in the state.
Presenting the award to the legislator, the Executive Director, Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, Prince Musa Yakubu, explained that information gathered by their whistle blowers at Orumba North Local Government Area, showed that Honourable Aforka has performed his legislative duties creditably.
Prince Yakubu, who expressed appreciation to the awardee for being publicly accessible, maintained that the organization encourages good governance and accountability.
Responding, Honourable Aforka, who dedicated the award to the entire people of Orumba North Constituency, commended the organization for honouring him based on merit.
The lawmaker observed that the wonderful jobs the organization is voluntarily doing for the country, will stop corruption and entrench good governance.
