Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts has directed all the government Ministries appearing before it for the verification of their audited 2020 accounts to forward all the necessary documents to the committee before hand to enable it do a thorough job.
House of Assembly Correspondent Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the Chairman of the committee Sir Somtochukwu Udeze gave the directive when the committee met with key officers of the Anambra State Housing Development Corporation over their audited 2020 financial records.
The committee observed that the expenditure of the corporation were in tandem with the projects done by the corporation and commended it for fastracking the development of Anambra State through development of more housing estates across the State.
On his part, the Managing Director, Anambra State Housing Development Corporation, Mr Willie Okafor explained that the Obiano administration has made giant strides in housing development this year through the development of green valley and liberation estates and construction of International Conference centre in Awka.
Mr Okafor an Architect, further said that the State government is also committed to developing Savannah estate at Isiagu.
He urged Ndi Anambra to assist the corporation in protecting government projects in their domains from vandalization.
