The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor, says Governor Willie Obiano has recorded the highest achievement in the history of both the old and present Anambra State through his personal efforts in realizing the confirmation of Anambra State as an oil producing state by the Federal government.
Felicitating with the Governor on the achievement, Honourable Okafor described him as a gallant achiever, who has continued to brave tough developmental needs of Ndi Anambra.
The Speaker noted that with the enrollment of Anambra State into the league of oil producing States in the country, Governor Obiano has succeeded in improving the revenue profile of the State, as well as the living standard of the citizenry perpetually.
He called on politicians in the State, irrespective of party affiliations, to appreciate Governor Obiano’s developmental accomplishments such as the building of the Anambra International Airport, International Conference Centre, International Stadium, as well as the recent achievement of an oil producing status for the State by giving him the necessary support.
Right Honourable Okafor enjoined Ndi-Anambra to pray fervently for the peaceful conduct of the November six governorship election in the State.
