Wife of the Governor of Anambra State and founder of the charity organization, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, Dr (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano has asked women to insist on the right candidate in the November six governorship poll or risk enthroning someone who will jeopardize the future of the state.
Dr (Mrs) Obiano who stated this while interacting with wives of traditional rulers from one hundred and seventy-seven communities in Anambra State, said that the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and its standard bearer in the November election, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, remain the best choice among those jostling for the Anambra top position.
While stating that Professor Soludo remains the most qualified candidate among other contestants, judging from his enviable antecedents, the governor’s wife disclosed that it is only the erstwhile Central Bank of Nigeria’s boss who can do the job and do it best.
She urged women to use their dominant voting power to decline attempts by desperate politicians to steal popular mandate.
Earlier, the leader of the group and wife of traditional ruler of Abba, in Njikoka Local Government Area, Lady Maureen Eze, said that Governor Willie Obiano, alongside his wife has made Anambra State more economically competitive, with the almost-completed Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, standing historically tall among all developmental infrastructure in the state.
She lamented the rising security threats across the country, and urged the state government not to relent in its dogged war against enemies of peace, stating that those who habour devilish intentions against the state architecture must be flushed out completely.
