Anambra Broadcasting service has re-assured the Rotary International of sustained partnership.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting service, Dr Uche Nworah gave the assurance when the Governor of Rotary in charge of district 9142 comprising all the States in the South-East as well as Cross River and Akwa Ibom Dr Okechukwu Okonkwo, in company of the President  Rotary club of Awka Nnamdi Azikiwe University Rotarian Abuchi Nwozor and other Presidents paid him a visit.

Dr Nworah who commended the Rotary for all its humanitarian services, said that Anambra Broadcasting service will continue to partner groups with clear vision and mission.

He promised that the Anambra Broadcasting service will support the Rotary International District 9142 in its forthcoming Peace summit slated for Awka Anambra State.

Dr Nworah used the opportunity to call on other organizations to emulate the Rotary International in its charity work.

Earlier the Governor of Rotary International District 9142, Dr Okonkwo while commending the Anambra Broadcasting service for its support to Rotary, disclosed that the purpose of his visit to Anambra State is to visit all the Rotary clubs in the district to assess them for more robust performances.

Dr Okonkwo an indigene of Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area who informed the ABS Chief Executive Dr Nworah about the forthcoming Peace summit of the Rotary international district 9142 asked for partnership with the State government owned electronic Media.

In their Various remarks the Assistant Governor of Rotary International Zone eleven Rotarian Bonaventure Uzor and President Rotary Club of Awka GRA Rotarian Godspower Olota said that Rotary as International organization has series of Programmes aimed at improving the living standards of the people.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a book on the achievements of Governor Willie Obiano by Dr Uche Nworah to the District Governor and other club Presidents that accompanied him.

The District Governor had earlier on arrival engaged on a Radio Programme Tonimas Half Hour together with a one-time Chairman of the Independent petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN in Awka zone Chief Joseph Nwakpadolu, where issues concerning petroleum subsidy were discussed extensively.
