Non-indigenes of the State and members of other political parties have joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Nimo ward four, Njikoka Council Area, as stakeholders hosted members of the ward, in preparation for the forthcoming Anambra governorship election.
Correspondent, Valentine Mbadugha, reports that the non-indigenes and others, who attested the progress APGA has recorded in Anambra state, assured of their unflinching support to ensure that Professor Chukwuma Soludo succeeds Governor Willie Obiano.
The event, held in Egbengwu village Nimo, attracted stakeholders of the party from within and outside Nimo ward four.
The member representing Njikoka Constituency Two at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Pete Ibida, who noted that the gathering was just a preamble to what they are preparing ahead of the November sixth election, pleaded with everyone to join hands in protecting the future of Anambra state by electing Professor Soludo, whom he described as most suitable for the job.
The host, Mr Nnaemeka Oraka, who is one of the major stakeholders in the ward, explained that his aim was to ensure that AGPA has a common front, which he said, will give them an edge over other political parties.
He said Professor Soludo remains the only man who will consolidate Governor Obiano’s achievements and take Anambra State to a greater height.
The Woman Leader of the ward, Mrs Chinwe Mgbajiaka, said women of the ward have enjoyed enormous inclusion by the Obiano administration, while many have been empowered by the Governor’s wife, Dr. Ebelechukwu, through her charity organization, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFÉ, and expressed hope that wife of the incoming Governor will take up from where Mrs Obiano stopped, having understudied her over time.
The Njikoka local government Chairman of the party, Mr Charles Okongwu, a Special Assistant to Governor Obiano on Community Liaison, Mr Chukwuma Omile and another party stakeholder, Engineer Val Anona, assured of continuous and more effective grassroot mobilization to ensure that Professor Soludo and Dr. Ibezim emerge victorious.
The APGA flag bearer Professor Soludo, who was represented by the Convener of Soludo Support Group, Mr Chinedu Nwoye, expressed joy over the warm reception and support from Nimo people, non-indigenes and members of other political parties.
Decoration of decampees from other political parties with APGA uniform climaxed the event attended by Dr Ifeanyi Obiefuna, among other APGA stakeholders in the ward.
