Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Okpala, said the State will partner with the Military Cantonment Onitsha to upgrade their hospital for optimal performance.
Dr Okpala, who stated this after inspecting the Cantonment’s MRS Hospital at the Onitsha barrack, assured of Governor Willie Obiano’s committed to improve healthcare service delivery for officers through functional healthcare system.
He noted that the State Government has been collaborating with the Military in providing healthcare services for officers in the barrack, including COVID-19 vaccination, and commended them for their efforts in maintaining the hospital.
In their responses, the Commander of Onitsha Military Cantonment, Colonel AB Usman, and the Doctor-In-Charge of the Military facility, Captain CP Enuma, commended the State Government for its continued support, even as they appealed for more assistance to the hospital.
