The Chief of Staff to the governor of Anambra State, Mr. Primus Odili has called for the resignation of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami over the statement credited to him that the federal government may impose a state of emergency on Anambra State.

Mr. Odili made the call while addressing journalists in his office at the government House, Awka.

Government House Correspondent Ejike Ababa  reports that Mr. Odili wondered why a call for state of emergency had not been made in the Northern part of Nigeria where insecurity thrive due to the activities of Boko Haram.

According to him, Mr. Abubakar compromised his office by belonging to the National Campaign Committee of APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state, stressing that those recent happenings across the state are desperate attempt to thwart and subvert the will of Ndi Anambra, who had been peaceful before the electioneering period.

While stating that APC faithful in Anambra State still believe that there was no primary election in the state, the Chief of Staff called on INEC as the electoral umpire to delist the party from the ballot.

Mr. Odili frowned that Mr. Malami, who supervises election petitions by virtue of the office he occupies, called on the federal government to guarantee the security of life and property of Ndi Anambra during the election as the state under Obiano has done very well.

He added that Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the candidate of APGA, has the capacity to deliver as he can win in any state of the federation, noting that his successful time at the Central Bank of Nigeria can be likened to running eighteen states simultaneously, as his performance is not in doubt.
