The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Dr Uche Nworah, has restated the station’s commitment to assisting the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in ensuring success of the November sixth governorship election in the State, through timely dissemination of relevant information.
Dr. Nworah, who gave the assurance when officials of the Commission paid him a courtesy visit in Awka, commended the Commission for its avowed commitment in ensuring free and fair election in the State, which he noted is in line with the vision of the Obiano administration, and expectations of Ndi Anambra for the sustenance of good governance in the State.
He urged INEC to improve on its previous exercises to ensure that no political party is denied chances of success in the Anambra governorship election, even as he thanked the Commission for the support to ABS Bureau in Abuja.
Earlier, the Director of Voter Education and Publicity of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mr. Victor Aluko, said new innovations by the Commission will further ensure that the wish of the people prevails in an election, and encouraged people to come out and vote, and political parties to sustain mobilization of the electorate for a smooth Anambra governorship election.
