The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor has described the supreme Court judgement which affirmed Chief Victor Oye and Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance and Governorship Candidate of the party in the November sixth governorship election in the state respectively as the will of God for the continuation of good governance.
Reacting to the judgement, Right Honourable Okafor maintained that since APGA is a big family, the judgement has created an opportunity for everybody to come together and remain in one fold to ensure total victory for the party in the forthcoming governorship election.
The Speaker who commended Governor Willie Obiano for the able manner he has continued to nurture APGA as the leader and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the party, congratulated Chief Oye, Professor Soludo, APGA faithful and indeed Ndi Anambra on the Supreme Court victory, which he said, has rested the issues in the party.
He advised politicians in the state to desist from character assassination and embark on realistic campaign, adding that Governor Obiano has done enough in terms of human and infrastructural development to earn victory for APGA in the November sixth Governorship election in the state.
Right Honourable Okafor enjoined civil servants in the state to dissociate themselves from party politics but to get their voter cards ready for the Governorship election, assuring them that their salary will always be safe and continuous under APGA governments.
Meanwhile, the speaker has on behalf of the state legislature felicitated with the Muslim community in the state on their Eid-el-Malud celebration.
He urged Muslims in the State to reciprocate Governor Willie Obiano’s hospitality and assistance to them by remaining peaceful at all times.
