The remains of a former Military Governor of Anambra and Enugu states, Col Herbert Ezeh retired will be buried on Friday,12th November 2021 in his Country home, Okwu–Amarihe ,Awo–Idemili, Orsu local government Area of Imo State.
According to a release signed by the son Mr Kenneth Ezeh, his funeral rites will commence with a Vigil mass and Wake Keep tomorrow Friday October 22nd 2021 by 4pm at his Kaduna residence and the second phase of it on Thursday,11th November,2021 by 4pm at his Awo–Idemili Country home.
It further states that burial mass comes up on Friday,12th November,2021 by 10.00 am at St Gregory’s Catholic Church, Ubaheze, Awo-Idemili, Orsu LGA,Imo State, while internment follows immediately after Mass at his Country home Okwu–Amarihe Awo–Idemili.
Thanksgiving mass is scheduled for Sunday,14th November,2021 by 10.00 am at St Gregory’s Catholic Church Ubaheze Awo-Idemili Orsu LGA.
Late Col Herbert Obi Ezeh was of the Artillery Corps of the Nigerian Army where he rose and later got appointed as the Military Governor of Anambra and Enugu states between 1990 and 1992 during General Ibrahim Babangida’s Military regime.He was instrumental to the creation of two additional States namely Abia and Enugu from the old Imo and Anambra States.
