Wife of the Governor of Anambra State and founder of the charity organization, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE, Dr (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano has said that her method of charity is even and does not discriminate ethnicity or religious background.

Dr (Mrs) Obiano stated this while addressing people from Njikoka, Nnewi North and Awka North Local Government Areas in continuation of her ongoing LGA tour.

The tour is run by the Anambra State Ministry of Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs in collaboration with CAFE.

Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe reports that while stating that her NGO, CAFE, has overseen numerous human intervention programs over the past seven years, the governor’s wife said that she believes in impacting lives not minding where the beneficiary is coming from or what they believe in.

She urged the electorate, especially women, to reject those who are desperate to hold the state to hostage in the guise of partisan politics, reminding them that it is only APGA that can build on existing achievement and elevate the welfare of Anambra State.

Wife of the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in next month’s governorship election in Anambra, Mrs Nonye Soludo promised to continue to reach out to and empower the less privileged, if her husband wins the election, urging women to make the best Anambra dream come true by voting for APGA and her husband, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.

In their separate remarks, the Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Honourable Chukwudi Orizu, his Njikoka and Awka North counterparts, Chief George Ozo and Mr Ferdinand Onwuje, said that the present administration has been able to achieve even development because the governor’s wife brought her motherly passion to bear on good governance, urging whoever that would succeed her to emulate her footsteps.

On their parts, the Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Entrepreneurship and Creative Economy, Professor Theresa Obiekezie, and her Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs counterpart, Lady Ndidi Mezue, urged Anambra electorate to understand the importance of the forthcoming election and what it holds for the future of the state, asking them to vote for APGA and its candidate, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, to save the state from those who are bent on taking her back to the era of under-development.

As usual, the governor’s wife gave support to over one thousand five hundred widows, less privileged people, children, aged people and the physically challenged from the three local government areas.

Wife of the National Chairman of APGA, Mrs Mary Oye and the wife of the Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Mrs Rosemary Chukwulobelu and the Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Liaison, Mrs Vera Queen Okonkwo, were present at the event.
