The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor has re-emphasized the need for Ndi Anambra to support the APGA candidate for next month’s governorship election, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
Right Honourable Okafor made the call while receiving the APGA Governorship candidate and his entourage at Ayamelum Local Government Area.
Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha reports that Right Honourable Okafor while welcoming Professor Soludo and APGA campaign team to Ayamelum Local Government Area described Professor Soludo and his running mate Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, as wonderful pair that will take Anambra State to the next level.
He advised Ndi Anambra not to allow political and religious affiliations to divide them assuring that the people of Ayamelum Local Government Area will redouble their efforts in giving Professor Soludo and APGA the deserved victory in the election.
Professor Soludo while presenting his policy framework to the people of Ayamelum identified the major challenges confronting the local government and promised to address them if elected.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Ayamelum local government area, Mr Benjamin Onyeabo earlier stated that Ayamelum local government felt the presence of APGA government.
He mentioned road infrastructure, Community chose your project initiative, government appointments, agricultural programmes that employed their youths among others as the dividends of democracy Ayamelum got from APGA government.
Mr Onyeabo encouraged the people of Ayamelum to vote for APGA on the sixth of November to continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy APGA is known for.
The National Chairman of APGA Dr Victor Oye, Senator Victor Umeh and other APGA stakeholders also addressed the gathering.
