The standard bearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA for next week’s governorship election Professor Chukwuma Soludo has advised Anambra electorate against being apathetic during the election.
Professor Soludo was speaking during the party’s campaign at Ojoto the Headquarters of Idemili South Local Government Area.
According to Professor Soludo, assurances have been given that there will be enough security on the election day.
While appreciating the people of Idemili South Local Government Area for always standing behind the All Progressives Grand Alliance Professor Soludo added that armed with his manifesto which was carefully thought out and crafted, Anambra will witness novel dimensions to development in all areas targeted at people of all age brackets and social stratification.
In his speech, Governor Willie Obiano said that the election will hold and will count, restating that the APGA candidate is the best among others for the election.
Also speaking, the National Chairman of APGA, Dr Victor Oye, said arrangements have been concluded for the election to hold, advising the people to get their Permanent Voters Card ready because according to him the All Progressives Grand Alliance will perform better under Professor Soludo.
While describing Professor Soludo as someone with wisdom, understanding and fear of God, the Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Senator Victor Umeh expressed optimism that Professor Chukwuma Soludo will follow the footsteps of Governor Obiano and perform better when he assumes office.
The Commissioner for Basic Education and Chairman of the Campaign Committee in Idemili South Local Government Area, Professor Kate Omenugha spoke about the good governance in Anambra State, particularly in the areas of infrastructural development, prompt payment of salary, promotion of teachers, community choose your project initiative among others.
A two time member of the National Assembly, Chief Charles Odedo revealed that while he was in the All Progressives Congress, he was admiring what Governor Obiano has been doing in the state and decided to come into All Progressives Grand Alliance to support him and Professor Chukwuma Soludo assuring that his structure is intact, and will use it to work for the party, just as Member, Board of Trustees of All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka maintained that Governor Obiano took a wise decision by endorsing Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that the transition Committee Chairman of the Local Government Area, Chief Don Unachukwu, among others were on ground to receive the campaign team.
