The remains of a one-time Commissioner for Information and Culture in Anambra State, the late Chief Emma Nkwocha have been interred in his hometown, Uruogbo Village, Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area.
The late Chief Nkwocha, who was the son of the late Chief R.O Nkwocha, died at the age of sixty-four after a brief illness.
Correspondent Amarachukwu Okafor reports that Chief Nkwocha was a lover of sports, and renowned for his exemplary lifestyle of enhancing the lives of others irrespective of their ethnicity, religion, social class or political orientation.
In a sermon during his burial service, the Chaplain of the Protestant Chaplaincy, Nigerian Police Force, Reverend Victor Nwobi, described the deceased as a good man, who carried people’s burden as his.
Reverend Nwobi urged everyone to be prepared at all times, as no one knows when he will be called by God.
Speaking, some siblings to the deceased, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nkwocha and Mrs. Roseline Ogbaji, described their late brother as a jolly good fellow, and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.
A family member, Nze Joel Nkwocha, thanked all that sympathized with the family, asking God for his blessings upon everyone.
The member representing Njikoka, Dunukofia and Anaocha Federal Constituency, Honourable Dozie Nwankwo, paid homage to the family.
