Anambra State House of Assembly has congratulated Professor Chukuma Soludo as governor-elect of the State.
The member representing Onitsha South Two Constituency, Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu Nkemdiche moved a motion to that effect during plenary.
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that the lawmaker thanked God for answering the prayers of Ndi Anambra by giving them a man with a reputable personality and track records as governor.
Honourable Nkemdiche expressed confidence that the governor-elect will meet the expectations of Ndi Anambra as he came prepared.
On his part, the member representing Aguata Two Constituency, Honourable Okechukwu Okoye noted that the people of the state have demonstrated their believe in Professor Soludo, by voting massively for the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the election, even as he expressed optimism that the governor-elect will take Anambra State to greater heights.
On his part, the Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike congratulated Professor Soludo for emerging winner of the election and appreciated Ndi Anambra for making the right choice, even as the member representing Anambra East Constituency, Honourable Obinna Emenek described Professor Soludo’s victory as an act of God, as he came at a time when Anambra State needed him most, while the member representing Orumba North Constituency, Sir Emeka Aforka thanked God for the gift of the governor-elect to Anambra state, adding that Professor Soludo will transform Anambra State into a model State with opportunities for all, giving his impressive records.
The speaker of the House, Right Honourable Uche Okafor congratulated the governor-elect and thanked Governor Willie Obiano for proving to the world that Anambra State remains the safest in Nigeria by ensuring a peaceful poll in the state.
The Speaker also appreciated the National Chairman of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, Chief Victor Ike Oye, Board of Trustees members of the party and all who worked for the success of APGA in the governorship election and urged the governor-elect to use his wealth of experience and international reputation to govern Anambra State.
