What could be described as a miracle was recently recorded at the Centre for Psychic and Healing Administration (CPHA), Awka where a seventy-four-year-old dying man was essentially revived through the administration of garden eggs.
Mr John-Peter Ezenwa, a boxing coach was brought to the Centre while struggling with life but was revived after being administered with garden eggs.
He was later discharged from the center after being declared fit.
In an interview, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of CPHA, Mrs Flora Ilonzo, reiterated her call on Africans especially the Igbos to embrace African herbs, fruits and vegetables as they were given by God to serve as food and also as remedy for all kinds of ailments.
Mrs Ilonzo, who thanked God for always using her to save souls, re-emphasized that most plants have signatures to signify the kind of diseases they cure, even as she recommended ukpaka, castor oil, garden eggs and leaves, water yams (ji abana) and other dietary as daily menu for everyone
She equally advised South East Governors and other political leaders in the country to invest in research, and cultivation of Igbo plants that have gone into extinction, especially anunu ebe, with a view to resolving the friction between man and nature.
Narrating his testimony, Mr Ezenwa, who is from Awka Etiti in Idemili South Local Government Area, recalled how he fell very sick, with swollen legs and belly, and could not urinate or defecate for over three months before going unconscious for ten days while many people thought he was dead.
He thanked God for the gift of good health which was made manifest through Mrs Ilonzo as he had earlier gone to different hospitals without solution.
Contributing, Mr Chukwudalu Umeadozie, from Amichi in Nnewi South, Council Area, who brought Mr Ezenwa to the centre, said they were asked to buy coconuts, and garden eggs and leaves which they squeezed out the water to wash the patient’s head.
For Professor Raphael Okigbo of the Department of Botany, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, government, institutions of higher learning must invest in alternative medicine through research sponsorship to redirect the mindset of the Igbos to the importance of herbal plants.
