A thank you gathering for the emergence of Professor Chukwuma Soludo as the governor-elect of Anambra State and the victory of the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, at the just concluded governorship election has been organized at Agulu Community, Anaocha Council Area.
The event, convened by an APGA Chieftain, Chief Dan Ogbuefi at his Ijele Nze Villa, Agulu, on behalf of the APGA family in Anaocha Council Area, was also to thank all committed APGA faithful in the four wards of Agulu, who worked for the party.
In his opening remark, Chief Ogbuefi, who is also the founder of Oganiru Ndigbo Forum, while commending Governor Willie Obiano for his belief and choice of Professor Soludo, expressed the confidence that he has the competence and the capacity of taking Anambra State to enviable heights.
While thanking the electorate for choosing the right man for the job, Chief Ogbuefi eulogized Governor Obiano and urged Ndi Agulu to always seek for political correctness by identifying with APGA.
In their separate speeches, the Special Adviser to Governor Obiano on Special Duties and Budget Implementation, Sir Melie Onyejepu, and the Senior Special Assistant on Inter-Party Affairs, Chief Ben Obi, expressed satisfaction with the way APGA faithful trooped out en-masse to exercise their franchise despite tension created by some individuals.
Contributing, the Anaocha Council chairman of APGA, Chief Ndubuisi Obiadi, former member that represented Anaocha One Constituency at the state Assembly, Honourable Sylvester Okeke, former chairman, Onitsha South Council Area, Dr Emeka Aniebonam, an APGA stakeholder in Anaocha, Barrister Chidozie Ogbuefi and a former local government Head of Service, Mr. Richard Obi, urged Ndi Agulu to be politically active to enable their community reap the dividends of good governance.
