Council of Knights, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion Awka Diocese will host Knights of the Church from all parts of Nigeria in the third edition of its conference, between second and fifth December, 2021.
The President, Council of Knights, Diocese of Awka, Sir Dr. Emmanuel Emelummadu, who disclosed this to newsmen at the Emmaus House Complex, Awka, revealed that Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba is expected to grace and participate in the occasion.
Correspondent Ejike Abana reports that the event has its theme as, ‘Defending the Faith’.
Sir Emmanuel stated that with the encouragement to organize the event, Awka Diocese has been given a rare opportunity of hosting over one thousand persons comprising Knights and other dignitaries from across Nigeria, emphasizing that the opportunity is to fellowship and enlighten the people on the workings of Knighthood as soldiers of Christ.
He explained that at the program, spiritual worship will hold at Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, Awka, while other activities will hold at Emmaus House, Awka, expressing optimism that the event will positively affect lives thereby promoting the church.
On his part, the first vice President, Council of Knights and Chairman, Organizing Committee, Sir Emma Ezenwaji disclosed that Archbishop of Owerri Province and Bishop of Okigwe South, Most Reverend David Onuoha will speak on Vision 2030 of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, while former Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo will speak on Improving the Nigeria Electoral System.
While expressing their readiness to host the event which he said, will be highly impactful, Sir Emma stated that other people expected to speak during the event include Chief Osita Chidoka, Professor Benjamin Osisioma, among others and disclosed that Governor Willie Obiano had made adequate arrangements to be fully represented, as well as the governor-elect and deputy governor-elect.
