As part of the efforts to ensure that the citizenry enjoy free movement on Anambra roads especially during the yuletide, the Secretary to the Government of Anambra State Professor Solo Chukwulobelu has met with top commanders of the traffic management agencies in Anambra State.

The meeting was to fashion out modalities on how to manage traffic on Anambra roads to enable Ndi Anambra enjoy the season without challenges.

Correspondent Valentine Mbadugha reports that in attendance were the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra State Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transport, Dr Emmanuel Udeakpe, the Managing-Director Anambra State Traffic Management Agency Mr Patrick Obiefuna, the State Commander Special Enforcement Team, Under the Ministry of transport Mr Chiejina Obieze, members of the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra OCHA Brigade, among others.

Speaking, during the event the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu who assured of State governments commitment towards the welfare of its citizens noted that palliative work will be done on most Anambra roads for enhanced vehicular movement.

The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, in Anambra State Mr Irelewuyi and that of Anambra State Traffic Management Agency Mr Obiefuna said that the meeting will enable them synergize better for more effective operation.

They called on the road users to always obey traffic rules and officers on duty as they will always be available at all the flashpoints to clear the roads.

The State Commander Special Enforcement Team, Under the ministry of transport Mr Chiejina Obieze also assured to work with other traffic management agencies to ensure free flow of traffic during this festive season.
