Stakeholders in Anambra have expressed optimism that the commercial flight operations which commenced in Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport Umueri will bring about an economic turnaround that will enthrone all round growth and development.
The Anambra State President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prince Emeka Udodeme and the National President of the Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Barrister Titus Akpudo stated this while expressing their joy as commercial flight began operation in Anambra Airport on 7th December 2021.
In separate interviews, Prince Udodeme and Barrister Akpudo noted that commercial flight operation in Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport Umueri will help maximize the economic potential of Anambra state.
They called on Ndi Anambra to tap into opportunity the airport has provided to improve their standard of living.
They highlighted some of the benefits to include, job creation for Ndi Anambra, Increased revenue for the state, attraction of more investors among others.
They thanked Governor Obiano for making the thirty-years dream project a reality and assured that they will keep supporting the government to better the lives of Ndi Anambra.
They further noted that the Governor-elect, Professor Soludo has a good foundation that will enable him drive the state to an enviable height.
