Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue has been installed as the pioneer patroness of Christ Living Hope Church, Awka.

Lady Ndidi , who has been a staunch supporter of the Church for over eight years, is being rewarded for her sacrifice to God’s work, humility and consistent response to calls for charity.

Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe reports that the honour of a Church’s patroness is bestowed on a woman who has made significant sacrifice to the propagation of gospel.

The General Overseer of Christ Living Hope Church, Reverend Ugochukwu Ekwem, who performed the official installation, said Lady Ndidi  means a lot to the Church, not just because she has always supported it, but most importantly for the significant roles she has played in charity and God’s service.

He prayed for her, asking God to reward her more and protect her even as, according to him, she prepares to step onto greater responsibilities.

In her speech, the Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area, Mrs. Ify Obinabo described Lady Ndidi as a role model and said that the honour was a deserved one.

In an interview, the Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Community Liaison, Comrade Obi-Ochije Modilim said Lady Ndidi has demonstrated exceptional character both in government and God’s service, noting that commitment, humility and kindness stand her out among everyone else.

On being bestowed with the highest Church honour, Commissioner  Ndidi  thanked God for finding her worthy of such huge blessing, stating that looking back at her modest beginning, nothing could mean more than helping those who are still finding their foot in life.

Describing her humanitarian motivation as a natural appetite that comes from within, Lady Ndidi appreciated Governor Obiano and his wife Dr. Ebelechukwu whom she described as a role model, for believing in her and giving her the opportunity to add to good governance.

Lady Ndidi had, later  receiving prayers and anointed with oil, investitured and presented with a plaque.

While a group of women dance troupe took to the floor, the celebrant herself led a live music crew to express her gratitude to God in praises.
