Intercessory Mercy of God Church, Awka has ended her two day “Power of Thanksgiving” and dedication service with praises and jubilation.
The two-day programme captioned “Joy Overflow” took place at the new church complex, Agu-Oye Awka in Awka South Local Government Area.
Correspondent, Chibuzo Obidike was there and reports that the Service drew parishioners, Bishops, guest artistes and comedians to the presence of God to acknowledge his love, guidance and protection throughout the year 2021 and the fulfilments of his promises that saw to the completion of the church complex.
In his message, Bishop David Osemeka said that Jesus has given his children the covenant key and listed His presence, prophecy and connection as ingredients which can open any closed door facing the children of God and asked them to remain steadfast in God.
He thanked God for sustaining Pastor Augustine Obi in his vine yard, and assured him that God will continue to bless him for all his commitment and sacrifices.
While blessings and consecrating the house of God to the people, Bishop Chris Ogugua said that anointing is the secret of the presence of God and asked married couples to see their wives as the gate keeper to success and should be treated with love and care and handed the keys to the presence of God to Pastor Augustine Obi for the propagation of God’s words.
Speaking shortly after the service, some of the parishioners Including Mrs. Pauline Ikebudu, Chief Mike Okechukwu and Mr. Moses Onyedika all attested to the giant impact and role played by Pastor Obi especially during the COVID-19 and their spiritual wellbeing as he wants to build a community of true Christians.
The host pastor Augustine Obi and his wife Chioma said that the journey in the Lord’s vine yard has been all about testimonies and unquantifiable blessings despite the challenges and charged Christians to uphold their faith in God.
Notable guest gospel artistes including Sister Amara O. and popular comedian, Unkul SP among others were at the event.
