Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation in Partnership with VOOM Foundation, United States of America has offered a second phase of three days free medicare to the people of Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area and environs.
The free medicare which attended to various ailments, took place at Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital, Oraifite as Children, youths and elderly came out in large number to access the free treatment.
The Executive Director of Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, Sir Azuka Okwuosa who also represented the Chairman of the Foundation, Sir Emeka Okwuosa during the inauguration, said the Foundation partnered team of professionals from the United States of America to take care of the health needs of the people.
Sir Azuka Okwuosa who noted that the gesture was to give back to the society they benefited from and legacies bequeathed to them by their parents, called on the people to assist the society in their various capacities.
The General Manager of Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, Amanda Obidike who said the Foundation is passionate about giving quality healthcare to the people expressed optimism that up to one thousand persons will be treated at the end of the exercise while the Executive Director of VOOM Foundation, Shawn Pallione who disclosed that the partnership began in 2018, said the treasure between the partnership of the two foundations lies in the desire to assist the people.
The co-ordinator of Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, Professor Johnson Anene who said the Foundation is known for excellent service delivery, spoke of other areas the Foundation has uplifted lives.
Others who spoke during the event including Mr Ben Etiaba, Amaka Enemchukwu, Mr Kenneth Nduka and a youth leader, Mr Prince Onyekachukwu said that the hospital is a blessing to humanity and thanked Sir Emeka Okwuosa for thinking home.
