In the Spirit of this year’s Christmas season, the Chairman and members of New Motorcycle Spare Past (NASPER) Uruagu Nnewi, have put smiles on the faces of the physically Challenged Persons by giving them food items and beverages.
Correspondent Festus Obierika, who covered the event, reports that it was an all round celebration as the less privileged persons expressed gratitude to the members of NASPERS.
The celebration which is an annual event by the new motorcycle spare Parts for Seven years now according to the Chairman Mr Obinna Okechukwu attracted Physically Challenged Persons across the state, government officials and officials from the Nnewi Correctional Centre.
Speaking at the event, the member representing Nnewi North in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Nonso Okafor extolled members of the market for the annual event, and noted that it will attract enormous blessing to them.
Addressing the gathering the Commissioner for Trade, commence and Wealth Creation, Honourable Uchenna Okafor, represented by Honourable Ejike Ngolu expressed satisfaction at the event, and thanked members of the market for the kindness and love they have exhibited.
A guest preacher at the event, Reverend Ugwuja of Assemblies of God Church, Onitsha, called on Ndi Anambra, especially the traders to always put their trust and belief in God, adding that no one can live a righteous life without believing in God.
According to the Chairman, Mr Okechukwu, the gesture is part of their efforts to sustain the Governor’s call and vision of celebrating and catering for the needy in the society.
In their separate remarks, Chief Humphery Anunu and Chief Leonard Onwuetugwu thanked NASPERS for their good gestures and called for the continuity of the programme.
Some of the Beneficiaries, including Miss Nneka Ofuonye, a blind student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Mrs Chizerum Ejikeakarughi among others expressed happiness over the gesture and asked God to bless and protect NASPERS members.
Highpoints of the event were, prayers for the executives of the market, distribution of the items by the Chairman to over five hundred physically Challenged Persons, among others things.
