The Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of The Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim says the massive infrastructural development put in place by Governor Willie Obiano administration has placed the state on the world map.
Most Reverend Ibezim who is also the Bishop of Awka Diocese made this known in a chat with the media at Emmaus House, Awka.
While accessing Governor Obiano’s work for seven and half years, Most Reverend Ibezim noted that indeed the present administration has reflected the sobriquet of the state having erected many developmental projects which include the International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri, International Convention Center, and Awka City stadium, as well as enlisting the state among the oil producing states, and many others.
The Prelate said Anambra State having produced people like Late Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Chief Emeka Anyoku, chief Innocent Chukwuma and many others, it is no doubt a leading one in the South East, and is expected to have witnessed boom in development long ago.
He expressed delight that Governor Obiano’s administration, practically made Anambra stand out in the comity of states.
Most Reverend Ibezim maintained that his legacies are indelible as he broke the jinx and made the state proud, noting that the security architecture put in place is second to none
He expressed the hope that the incoming administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo will consolidate on his programmes, while concentrating more on road construction, and creating more jobs for the youths of Anambra state.
The Prelate reiterated the call on government to look into the incessant killings in Awka, charging the youths to love one another and live in peace.
