The traditional Ruler of Awa in Orumba North Local Government Area Igwe Israel Ezue has called on Ndi Anambra to see the development of the state as a collective responsibility.
Speaking to the ABS in his palace, Igwe Ezue maintained that every individual needs to contribute to the development of Anambra State instead of leaving its development to the Government alone.
He Commended Governor Willie Obiano for the series of development he has brought to Anambra State especially the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri which he noted has placed Anambra State on the international map.
Igwe Ezue said that the Obiano administration has restored people’s confidence in Governance through oriented Programmes and policies and called on the people to continue with their support to the Government.
The traditional Ruler of Awa Community expressed the hope that the Governor-elect Professor Chukwuma Soludo will continue with all the legacy projects of Governor Willie Obiano when he takes over the mantle of Leadership in March next year.
On this year’s Christmas, Igwe Ezue called on the people to avoid any behavior that will make Christmas lose its concept and meaning.
He advised affluent individuals in the society to remember the less privileged during the celebration in order to give them a sense of belonging.
