Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano, Osodieme, has called on ndi Anambra, especially women, youths and all people of goodwill to embrace the New Year with hope for better days. She enjoined the people to persevere in hard work, prayers and charity, and to be ready for new opportunities that 2022 will present.
In a message signed the Deputy Chief Press to the Governor, Emeka Ozumba, Mrs. Obiano thanked God Almighty for the grace He gave ndi Anambra and all men and women of goodwill to overcome sundry challenges in 2021. She prayed that God should implant humility and positive dispositions in people so that they will begin and run the New Year in good spirit in order to fully realise the hopes and promises it holds for everyone and for our families.
In the statement released December 31,2021 in Awka, Mrs. Obiano said that since it pleased God to give all of us a new beginning in the new year, we should take advantage of the opportunities to serve humanity at various levels by assisting less privileged persons wherever and whenever we can.
Mrs. Obiano said that “As much as possible, let us be conscious of the continuous health challenges posed by the Covid-19 variants across our communities and the world and protect ourselves by following the right protocols. However, we should not loose faith in God’s protected shield and His sustainance over us during the New Year and beyond.”
Continuing, Mrs. Obiano urged ndi Anambra to leaverage on the solid achievements of Governor Willie Obiano and pray for prosperity of the state. She also wished everyone, families and friends a happy and Prosperous New Year.
