The people of Ezinifite in Aguata Local Government Area recently rolled out their drums to celebrate one of their illustrious daughters, Lady Ngozi Umeoji who was conferred with the title of Adagbodu.

Staff reporter Emengini Osadebe, reports that Lady Ngozi was also celebrated as Mater Profunditas of Ezinifite Catholic Community.

The event which was heralded with a Holy Mass at her Compound attracted College of Priests, Reverend Sisters, Bishops and Archbishops within and outside the State.

In his homily the Catholic Bishop of Nsukka Diocese Most Reverend Godfrey Onah charged Christians to always listen to the voice of the holy spirit within their hearts so that God can use them effectively.

Bishop Onah who described Lady Ngozi as an embodiment of charity commended her for directing her children aright and charged Christians to help train up their children so that they will be able to recognize their identity.

In his speech, the first son of the celebrant and member representing Aguata Federal constituency at the National Assembly Chief Chukwuma Umeoji said they are celebrating their mother’s charity life as she devoted most of her life in caring for the needy.

Speaking to the ABS, two other sons of the celebrant an Assistant Commissioner of police, Mr Ifeanyi Umeoji and Mr Bosah Umeoji described their mother as a wonderful woman.

Also speaking, the Archbishop Emeritus, Catholic Diocese of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaikan said that those who have plenty should thank God and share with others.

The Traditional Ruler of Ezinifite Igwe Bob Orji described Lady Ngozi Umeoji as  God sent with the Spirit of mother Theresa whose charity life has impacted so many families in Ezinifite and prayed God to continue to sustain and grant her long life and good health.

The President-General of Ezinifite improvement Union Chief Ikemefuna Okwonna, the Director Medical Sciences of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Dr Micheal Ezeonuora, the PDP governorship candidate in the last election in Anambra State, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, and an adopted son of the celebrant, Reverend Father Charles Umeoji among others attended the ceremony.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of plaque and cap to Lady Umeoji by the Archbishop Emeritus Catholic Diocese of Abuja John Cardinal Onaikan, presentation of gifts by various groups, while cultural dances.
