The Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Right Reverend Peter Okpalaeke has called on the affluent in the society to strive towards utilizing their resources to enhance the development of their various communities and well-being of the people.

 

Bishop Okpalaeke, who was speaking at a Pontifical High Mass at Saint Mathews Catholic Parish, Akpu, Orumba South Council Area in commemoration of Holy Family Sunday, called on family members to be united in love, respect, and reflect on the mission of faith.

According to him, Holy family Sunday was set aside for families to emulate the family of God stressing the need for the transformation of the family into simple life.

 

Dedicating a low-price supermarket built by Chief Emeka Agba foundation, the Prelate lauded him for his think home philosophy in alleviating the plight of the community.

Chief Agba, who expressed  commitment towards impacting positively on humanity.

In a remark, the wife and initiator of the foundation, Barrister Mrs. Juliet Agba explained that the opening of the supermarket remains one of the innovations targeted at promoting the living standard of the rural dwellers.

A community member, Mr. Michael Okoli-Ibe, who acknowledged the initiative as one of a kind, pleaded with Chief Agba to strategize on conversion of more ideas, that will advance Akpu Community.

Highpoints was the distribution of palliative to the rural dwellers by the mother of the president of the foundation, Mrs. Agatha Agba, and blessing of the supermarket by Bishop Okpalaeke.
