Christians have been urged to desist from giving in to evil thoughts but commit their hearts and minds to Jesus Christ with constant practice of God’s words for them to overcome all formidable enemies in their lives.

The Anambra State two overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Jude Chukwuocha, gave the advice during a regional combined service held at the church’s headquarter in Awka.

Correspondent, Emmanuel Chigbata reports that with emphasis on the topic, “Saint’s Victory Over Formidable Enemies,” Pastor Chukwuocha, explained that many Christians have corrupted their faith with the adoption of world’s value system that is solely based on materialism and immorality.

He maintained that the greatest resistance to formidable enemies is to denounce all evil desires as God cannot condone evil.

Pastor Chukwuocha, added that God will give a resounding victory to His children when they persevere in righteousness and resolve to take the word of God with absolute seriousness.

On their parts, the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Professor Charles Esimone and his wife, Dr. Chinyere, underscored the need for Christians to be bonded to Christ with constant prayer in order to become victorious over the enemies.

In their contributions, the Pastor in-charge of Nodu Group of Districts and Co-ordinating regional Professional Fellowship of Deeper Life Bible Church, Professor Azubuike Ekpunobi, and the wife of the Anambra State Two Overseer of the Church, Chinenye Chukwuocha, urged Christians to dedicate every aspect of their lives to God, worship Him wholeheartedly and love Him unconditionally, adding that with these measures, they will subdue the devil.
