The Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo says the ongoing programme of establishing collaboration and partnership between the ministry and other relevant agencies whose mandates are in line with that of the ministry has continued to yield positive results.
The Commissioner who made the statement while interfacing with the National Council for Women’s Societies Anambra state expressed satisfaction that many groups in the State also share in the burden of the state Government and particularly that of the Ministry of Women and Social Welfare in caring for women and the society at large.
She assured of the readiness of the Ministry to collaborate with NCWS in all her programs that concern women and the girl child.
Mrs Obinabo charged the group to key into the ministry’s program of using women as agents of change to better the society.
Responding, the state President of NCW, Lady Theresa Nnalue, pledged to take the message of the ministry’s campaign down the line of the Society to ensure full participation of all members.
Highlight of the visit was a short ceremony welcoming the Commissioner to the membership of the National Council for Women Societies, Anambra state.
