Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, has reiterated its commitment towards introducing more programmes that will encourage the sustenance of Igbo values.
The Acting Managing Director, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze, who disclosed this at Adazi-Ani in Anaocha Local Government Area during advocacy visit to an Industrialist, Chief Fidelis Oselu said, that at present, the ABS is being repositioned to continue to give Ndi Anambra quality and efficient service delivery.
Mr. Okpalaeze said that in line with the philosophy of Governor Chukwuma Soludo towards reviving the rich cultural heritage of Ndigbo, ABS will revive and improve on those programmes that will give the people at the grassroots a due sense of belonging.
He used the opportunity to call on various communities, individuals and corporate organizations to partner the state government owned electronic media through programmes sponsorship, event packaging and coverage.
While calling on Ndi Anambra to see the station as their own by taking full ownership via financial commitment, Mr. Okpalaeze reassured that the station will continue to maintain its pride as the mouth piece of Anambra State by promoting government programmes and policies.
Responding, Chief Oselu, who thanked Mr. Okpalaeze for reaching out to critical stakeholders in Anambra State, promised quality partnership with the organization which he described as a darling station to the people.
He used the opportunity to call on the people of Anambra State to continue with their patronage of the ABS while praying for the success of the Professor Chukwuma Soludo administration.
The Acting Managing Director of the ABS was accompanied by the South East Vice President, Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union, RATTAWU, Prince Emeka Kalu and Head, Content Monitoring, News and Programmes of the ABS, Mr. Abuchi Nwozor.
