Anambra State Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe has urged All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPSS, Anambra State branch on selfless service delivery.

 

Barrister Igwegbe gave the advice during a familiarization visit to her office at Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex, Awka by members of ANCOPSS.

 

While receiving the group, Barrister Igwegbe lauded their hard work in the state education sector and assured lasting solution to the issues they raised.

 

Earlier in his address, the state President of ANCOPSS, Mr. Jovita Arazu congratulated the Head of Service on her appointment and defined it, as well-deserved, following her track record.

 

Mr. Arazu, who is also the Principal of Igwebuike Grammar School Awka, seized the opportunity to unveil some issues confronting them as principals which they prayed that the state government would help them to resolve.

 

He listed the domestication of the law on the retirement age of teachers, school running costs, promotion of teachers to Grade Level 17, subsidization of conference expenditures, appointment of ANCOPSS members into key positions in the state civil service and the sponsorship of members to National and International Conferences as some of their challenges.
