Members of Anambra State Council of Traditional Prime Ministers, ‘Ndionowu’ have conferred an award of recognition of Chieftaincy title of “Ezennia Ndionowu” on Chief Azubuike Linus Enukeme, first son of the late founder of the council, Dr Anthony Obiagboso Enukeme.

 

Chief Azubuike Enukeme was conferred with the honour during the monthly meeting of the council at Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area.

Performing the function, the first Vice President of the Council, Chief Patrick Oyediuba who is the traditional Prime Minister of Oraukwu in Idemili North Local Government Area, said that the honour was in recognition of the contributions of the late Dr Anthony Enukeme to the growth and sustenance of the association.

 

He commended the humane and humorous nature of the late Dr. Anthony Enukeme, which he said is being emulated by his son Chief Azubuike Enukeme.

The Member representing, Anaocha Constituency Two, in the Anambra State House of Assembly Sir Ejike Okechukwu, described the conferment as timely because of the resounding legacies of the late Dr Enukeme and commended Chief Azubuike Enukeme and his brothers for towing the path of their late father.

 

The Secretary of Anambra State Council of traditional Prime Ministers Chief Joe Nwaegwu of Ebenebe said the event was in remembrance of the contributions of the late Dr Anthony Enukeme who contributed immensely to the growth of the council and society in general.

While congratulating Chief Azubuike Enukeme, the President of Rotary Club of Awka Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Rotarian Abuchi Nwozor, narrated his personal relationship with the Enukeme family, describing Chief Azububike Enukeme as a replica of his father who he described as a business encyclopedia and religious personality.

 

The wife of the Late Dr Anthony Enukeme, Iyom Mary, and her son, Chike Enukeme, expressed gratitude to Ndionowu Anambra State, for recognizing the contributions of the late Dr Anthony Enukeme which led to the occasion, adding that though his husband and father had left, his legacies are still alive.

 

Responding, Chief Azubuike Enukeme, flanked by his wife Dr Uju said he was elated and honoured on the conferment of Chieftaincy title of Ezennia Ndionowu on him.

Highlight of the event was presentation of certificate and regalia to Chief Azubuike Enukeme by the council.
