Kate Center for Arts and Creativity in partnership with Bring It On Africa has unveiled a movie entitled “a little scar” to fight immorality in schools across the country.

 

Education Correspondent Theophilus Ukoha reports that former Anambra State Commissioner for Basic Education Professor Kate Omenugha sponsored the production of the film as her contribution in the fight against examination malpractice.

Following the high rate of immorality in some private and public schools Professor Omenugha, voluntarily join the Movie Industry to enable her contribute in the fight against the ugly trend in nations education system.

 

She frowned at the level in which students especially, those in Secondary Schools in some parts of the country, are threatening school environments with ungodly behaviours.

The former Commissioner, stressed that the Nollywood Industry at the moment should minimize crime related movies and focus more on films that can discourage evil practices in the society.

 

Speaking after viewing the movie the Commissioner for Culture, Tourism and Entertainment Mr Don Onyenji, said it is good innovation to redirect the mindset of youths and students to moral rectitude and advised parents to key into the crusade of inculcating sound morals on children.

For their parts the President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions Chief Titus Akpudo, member representing Anaocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka federal constituency at the National Assembly Chief Dozie Nwankwo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Programmes Dr Nelson Omenugha, among others commended the production of the movie as they noted it will help curb the high rate of immorality in schools across the country.

 

Speaking earlier some members of the production crew including Mr Obinna Chigbo and Miss Grace Asi said they trained over forty cast who participated in the production which lasted for a month and expect to get into more episodes in future.

Some of the students who took part in the production including Chisom Anaka, Victor Obiajulu, and Joy Chukwuemeka, expressed happiness for participating in the production of the movie.
