The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh has called on APGA delegates in the upcoming APGA primaries to focus on the mission of each aspirant while choosing candidates.

Chief Umeh, who is an aspirant for Anambra Central Senatorial District under APGA said the mission should qualify one to fly the flag of the party in the 2023 general elections instead of ambition of an individual.

Other APGA stakeholders, including Chief Innocent Chiekezie, Chief Ben Obi, twenty-one executive members from the nineteen political wards in Anaocha Local Government Area, and the Convener of Great Soludo Patriots, Sir Obi Nwoye affirmed that Chief Umeh has the required experience to carry out legislative assignments for Anambra Central Senatorial District in the tenth assembly.

Chief Umeh harped on the need for APGA to elect their best at every level for the general election, adding that the growth and development of the State and the party depend so much on the quality of leadership the party presents even at representative capacity.

The former APGA National Chairman who represented Anambra Central at the Senate, was hosted by an APGA stalwart in Adazi-Ani community, Chief Cyril Okoye, and used the opportunity to appeal to APGA delegates to give him the opportunity to use the party platform to bring sustainable development to Anambra Central, Anambra State and Southeast at large.

He said that with his experience as the former National Chairman of APGA for ten years and a former Senator, he will perform beyond expectations, adding that he understands the position of Ndigbo in Nigeria, and expressed his readiness to stand tall at the red chambers with facts backed by law, to protect the interest of Ndigbo.

On his part, Chief Okoye, said the occasion was to show his unalloyed support to the aspiration of Chief Umeh, saying that his capacity to deliver at the parliament is unmatched.

Contributing, the Member representing Anaocha Constituency Two in the State House of Assembly, Honourable Ejike Okechukwu, the APGA Vice Chairman, Central, Sir Theofine Nnoli and Chairman of all Ward Chairmen, Anambra State, Mr Uchenna Ezeoke pointed out reasons Chief Umeh should fly the party flag for Anambra Central Senatorial District election in 2023.
