Ndi Anambra in the diaspora have been urged to key Into Governor Soludo’s vision of comprehensive development of the state.
Speaking to journalists in Awka, the Vice President Ọhaneze Ndịgbo worldwide Chief Damian Okeke Ogene said this would help rebuild the state and provide a better future for the people.
Paul Ezeoke reports that Chief Okeke Ogene said Governor Soludo’s wide consultations with stakeholders in the country and beyond would enable him harness ideas and resources to accelerate implementation of his policies and programmes while his visit to Nnamdi Kanu at the detention facility in Abuja has demonstrated his strong political will and interest of Ndịgbo and Southeast in general as well as shown the value he attaches to every Igbo person irrespective of state of origin.
He noted that his inclusive administration is gradually restoring the collective and community mindset Ndịgbo are known for through which they achieved a lot over the years and called other Southeast Governors to emulate him to protect the interest of the zone.
Chief Okeke Ogene stressed the need for Igbo leaders to form strong synergy and be prepared always to take responsibilities to restore people’s confidence in governance.
Also speaking, an APGA chieftain, Dr Mike Omenugha said the Governor is well equipped to translate his manifesto to democracy dividends and is involving people of the state in the country and beyond in decision making to ensure that everybody is carried along which he noted offer opportunities for stakeholders to contribute in one way or another to achieve the set goal.
He expressed satisfaction that people of the state are responding positively in support of Governor Soludo’s government during the various consultations which he noted is an affirmation of acceptance of his style of governance.
Dr Omenugha urged entrepreneurs and other investors to bring back some of their businesses to Anambra state to scale up economic growth and expand employment opportunities for young people as well as strengthen the state revenue base, while urging community leaders and youths to support government initiatives in grassroots security by providing prompt and useful information to security agencies.
