The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike says Governor Chukwuma Soludo is committed to revolutionizing all the State-owned hospitals for enhanced performance.
Dr. Obidike disclosed this when he had a meeting with all the Heads of General Hospitals and Comprehensive Health Centres in his office in Awka.
Addressing the medical personnel, Dr. Obidike noted that the meeting was to intimate them on the Governor’s agenda about the health needs of Ndi Anambra, as well as ensure that all the General Hospitals and Primary Healthcare Centres in the state become functional.
The Commissioner who equally used the opportunity to interact with them over the gaps he noticed when he visited some of the hospitals, made it clear that the Soludo administration will not tolerate any form of truancy, sharp practices and unwholesome attitude from any health officer in Anambra state.
The Acting Head of Hospital Administration in Anambra state, Dr. Okey Achugbu described the meeting as fruitful, saying that impactful and pragmatic contributions towards the growth and development of hospitals in the state were made.
The Chief Medical Director, Nimo General Hospital, Dr. Kenneth Nwokolo, said that the meeting reawakened their spirit towards efficient service delivery.
