The Chaplain, Anglican Chapel of the Healing Cross, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, Reverend Edozie Chukwuoggor, has challenged Christians to work out their salvation and uphold the righteousness of God.

 

Reverend Chukwuoggor, who gave the challenge in his sermon during church service, said it is in Christian’s best interest to control their lives and live according to the precepts of God.

He reminded people that God created them in his image, a reason they should pursue things of the holy spirit, do the work of Christ and spread His gospel to enable peace prevail in all the nooks and crannies of the world.

 

At Divine Mercy Catholic Chaplaincy, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, Reverend Father Justin Ezechukwu encouraged Christians to build an altar of peace in their hearts; in order to keep the word of God and live it out in their daily activities for a better society.

Reverend Father Ezechukwu reminded people of the need for attitudinal change that will promote peace in the society, and frowned at those who indulge in spiling of blood, noting ing that judgement of God awaits them.

 

Also at Jesus Everlasting Evangelical Ministries Incorporated, Reverend Israel Mmadubeze-Izuchukwu noted that the joy of the Lord is the strength of Christians, without which they are nothing.

Reverend Mmadubeze-Izuchukwu regretted the situation of things in today’s society, and called for fervent prayers, praises and thanksgiving to God in order to surmount the challenges, expressing hope that God will restore and strengthen peace in the world.

 

Prayers were offered for calm, peace and progress in the society, while thanksgiving climaxed the church services.
