The Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo has called on women to stop all forms of abuse against fellow women.

 

Mrs Obinabo made the call during an interface with members of the Ụmụada Chukwu Igbo bụ Igbo Organization where she urged them to rather embrace peace instead of abusing one another.

while interacting with the group, Mrs Obinabo listed ways one can engage in abuse and charged them to step down the knowledge to their different local communities and families.

 

Earlier in her speech, the leader of the group Mrs Ifeomachukwu Afoekelu, thanked the commissioner for her warm reception and asked that the association be included in the running of the ministry’s activities which will help foster collaboration amongst those involved.

AGN Seeks Partnership With Anambra Women and Social Welfare Ministry To Reposition Movie Industry

 

The Women and Social welfare Ministry is set to Partner Actors Guild of Nigeria Anambra State Chapter

 

Members of the AGN Anambra State Chapter, led by its state chairman Evangelist Leo Ewuzie used the occasion of their friendly visit to the office of the women and Social Welfare Commissioner Honourable Ify Obinabo to solicit for support and partnership with the ministry.

Evangelist Ewuzie explained that the partnership will go a long way in producing movies that will throw more light to the travails of girl child, women and children in general.

 

Responding , Honourablle Obinabo assured him of the ministry’s readiness in collaborating with the AGN in other to project women and children.

 

She used the medium to commend him for having visited some community homes in the state.

Recall that Honourable Obinabo is a thespian and also a registered member of the association hence the need for the collaboration.
