The All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has confirmed a former Chief Judge of Anambra State, Professor Peter Umeadi as its presidential candidate for the 2023 general election.

 

Professor Umeadi who was the sole presidential aspirant of the party was unanimously accepted by all the one hundred and fifty delegates at a special convention in Abuja.

 

In his acceptance speech, Professor Umeadi, said that with the nomination, he is now equipped to contest the election pointing out that he is stepping out with rule of law, separation of powers and due process.

 

The Presidential candidate, urged all Nigerians especially youths to embrace APGA as a political party to reposition Nigeria in four years from 2023.

 

Earlier, the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye lamented what he called the government’s inability in stopping those using the name of the party to defraud others.

 

Chief Oye, said nobody should be seen as being above the law adding that the government must deal decisively with all those causing problem in the country.

 

According to him, the country will have fared better if the present government had been proactive and promised that his administration will give more positions to the women folk.
