Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has directed a repeat of the online recruitment examination for Teachers in Anambra State.
Governor Soludo to that effect directed the Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh to conduct a repeat of the exercise to make up for the shortfall in last Saturday’s preliminary Teacher’s Recruitment Examination.
A release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mr Christian Aburime, said that the Governor has further directed that all expenses for the test be covered by the Government.
Recall that Teachers Recruitment examinations were held in the state on Saturday fourth June, 2022.
The test was conducted in line with the resolve of Governor Soludo and his administration for strengthening and repositioning the education sector in the state.
The Ministry of Education received over forty thousand applications and listed about thirty-one thousand qualified applicants after reviews as applicants considered too old for civil service, Graduates without NYSC discharge certificates or Exemption letter and other deficiencies were disqualified.
Against the proposed five thousand qualified applicants to be shortlisted for Computer Based Test examination, the Governor directed that all the over thirty-one thousand listed applicants should be given equal opportunity to participate in a preliminary online examination before short listing the successful applicants for second Computer Based Test examination.
The release assured Ndi-Anambra that their interest will be protected at all times.
