The Anambra Broadcasting Film Academy has graduated another set of students trained in broadcasting, journalism and film production-related courses.

Some of the courses  the academy students  studied for two months, include Acting, Cinematography, Broadcast Journalism, Photography, Film Editing and a host of other courses.

While speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu charged the youths to make good use of the skills acquired to add value to their lives and the society at large, assuring that the next training for the intake of the film academy will be much better, commending those who have partnered with ABS at the film academy.

The Commissioner represented by the Acting Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Gab Okpalaeze explained that the students have been given practical training on chosen courses away from theory to ensure that quality knowledge was impacted on the students and emphasized that such training will help lift youths out of poverty through  skills.

The Director of ABS Film Academy, Mr Paschal Osubor said it is a thing of joy to see students graduate successfully, adding that they have through practical training been given the best in their chosen course of study and  disclosed that some of the students have before their graduation been selected for some major movie auditioning which they participated in.

Also speaking, Mr Nonso Ezennia who is the Director of Media and Publicity for Senator Stella Oduah, the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, who sponsored over a hundred students at the training, noted that in an era of unemployment it is important to empower the youths with the requisite skills, to be able to add value to the society while also earning money for themselves legitimately.

Some of the best and award-winning graduating students, including Mr John Obiorah and Miss Amaka Chiweze, expressed  happiness for having completed their course and appreciated Senator Stella Oduah for her support, noting that the training has given them a boost to achieve great feasts.

The event also featured the presentation of certificates to graduating and best students by the Director of Administration ABS Miss Tina Ekenta, her programmes department counterpart, Mrs Nneka Ekwunife and Mr Paul Okoye of the Engineering unit
