The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor has described theNational Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA Dr Victor Oye as a giant in the field of politics in Nigeria.
Felicitating with Dr Oye on his sixty-sixth birthday on behalf of the State Legislature, Right Honourable Okafor noted that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance has contributed immensely to political growth of the country.
The Speaker enumerated some of the achievements of Dr Oye as APGA National Chairman to include, building a National Secretariat of the party in Abuja as the first political party to record such a milestone in Nigeria, producing the first Professor in Igbo land to become a Governor, having more APGA lawmakers at both the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly as well as massive increase in membership of the party across the country among others.
He expressed gratitude with the manner the All Progressives Grand Alliance National Chairman has been piloting the affairs of the Party, adding that the peaceful conduct of the party’s primary elections was a clear demonstration of transparency, unity and internal democracy in the party.
The State number one lawmaker while calling on Ndi Anambra and All Progressives Grand Alliance faithful in the country to continue to give maximum support to Dr Oye, prayed God to grant the APGA National Chairman the strength, wisdom and longevity as he marks his b
irthday.
