Anambra State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Mrs Ify Obinabo has called on all to put all hands on deck in combating human trafficking.
This she said during a road show organized by Integrated Anti-Human trafficking and Community Development Initiative, INTACOM AFRICA, in collaboration with ministry of Women and Social Welfare and National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, Anambra State command, to commemorate World Trafficking Day in Awka.
Mrs Obinabo, in her plea, urged both parents, Youths and everyone to be agents of change by reporting any suspicious activity in their area.
She listed some of the ills of human trafficking to include, subjecting victims to untimely death, prostitution and organ harvesting among others.
On her part, the Commander Anambra state NAPTIP Command, warned that those involved in illicit activities bothering around trafficking would soon be apprehended and prosecuted calling on everyone to be vigilant in their environment.
