Hell could have let loose last night when a thirty thousand capacity tanker laden with petroleum product lost control at Nkpor New Parts Flyover, Enugu Onitsha express way.

 

The incident, which was said to had occurred when the tanker on ascending the flyover, summersaulted and the content spilled all over the area.

ABS observed that the situation caused obstruction, and traffic gridlock, as officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, were on hand managing the situation.

 

The intervention of the men of the Anambra State Fire Service averted the disaster from explosion while members of the public were seen risking their lives as they scamper to scoop fuel from the spillage.

Speaking on the incidence, Mr. Chukwudi Chiketa of the Ogidi Fire Service, who underscored their efforts and that of the FRSC in combating the disaster, warned the public to desist from risking their lives in the name of taking such advantage.
