Governor Chukwuma Soludo has led Anambra Delegation to Rome as Pope Francis Created Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke and nineteen other Cardinals.

 

The governor said that it is not a surprise that the creation of Anambra State which clocked thirty-one yesterday, coincided with the creation of a new Cardinal, Peter Okpalaeke by Pope Francis who is the Head of the Catholic Church and Sovereign of the Vatican City State since 2013.

 

Speaking from St. Peters Square, Vatican City, Rome on the two anniversary celebrations, governor Soludo felicitated with Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke, one of the two newly created from Africa.

 

 

 

According to the Governor, it is a special day worthy of celebration which would further lift the state to God for his interventions as it continuously marches towards a liveable and prosperous homeland.

 

Among the Anambra contingent were the Governor’s wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, among others.
