An Agriculturalist Chief Emeka Okoli, has called on youths to key into agriculture in order to become self-reliant.

 

Speaking on ABS Radio programme Agro half hour in Awka, Chief Okoli who described Agriculture as the main stay of the economy before the advent of oil called on the government to seek ways of assisting practicing farmers with farm implements and zero interest loan to ensure bumper harvest.

 

He called on various communities to form cooperatives in order to benefit from series of agricultural programmes of the government.

 

Chief Okoli who is also a consultant in Agriculture canvasses for the training of youths in various skills in order to divert their minds from restiveness.

 

He commended the Anambra State government for its series of agricultural programmes which he said will create jobs for the teeming youths.
