The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has charged those occupying leadership positions to use such in making policies that will improve the living standards of the people.
In a sermon at Saint Lawrence parish Ndiowu in Orumba North Local Government Area during a service of confirmation and admission into Girls guild and Mother’s union as well as Christian Men’s fellowship for all the Parishes under the Ajalli Archdeaconry, Bishop Ezeofor reminded Leaders that God has a purpose for choosing them and charged them not to disappoint Him.
Bishop Ezeofor who maintained that anyone chosen by God to work must know Him, cautioned the faithful against working for God without knowing Jesus Christ.
He advised those that were admitted into the Mother’s union, Girls guild and Christian Men’s fellowship not see such as a mere title but a position that demands more commitment in their service of God and humanity.
Bishop Ezeofor charged those that received the sacrament of confirmation, to accept Jesus Christ in order to receive the Holy Spirit that will guide them in their daily dealings.
In a remark the Archdeacon of Ajalli Archdeaconry Venerable Innocent Udechukwu, described disobedience as bane of the present day Christians, and urged the faithful to use their individual destinies in working out their salvation.
Seventy-eight candidates received the sacrament of confirmation while thirty-nine Girls were admitted into the Girls guild, Twenty-two Women into the Mother’s union and five Men into the Christian Men’s fellowship during the service.
Meanwhile, Right Reverend Ezeofor has announced the preferment of Reverend Canon Decency Chine as an Archdeacon in Aguata Diocese.
Bishop Ezeofor who announced this during the 2022 Aguata Diocesan homage at the cathedral church of Saint John Ekwulobia, maintained that promotion only comes from God.
